As we head into the last stretch of the year, I always find myself asking brands one important question: are you exhibition ready?
I’m Adriaan van Vuuren, Multimedia Specialist at STRONG PR, Marketing and Events, and for me, exhibitions are more than just a space to showcase products; they’re an opportunity to create memorable brand experiences.
Last year, we had the privilege of designing the stands for E45 and Gynaguard at the Clicks Beauty Playground, one of the biggest consumer beauty activations on the local calendar. Those projects reminded me why I love this work so much. We didn’t just build stands; we crafted immersive spaces that drew people in, encouraged interaction, and left lasting impressions.
Another standout project for me was the Volvo Buses stand at the SABOA Conference. This was a completely different audience and environment, but the challenge was the same: how do we take a brand and make it live and breathe within a limited space? For Volvo Group South Africa, we created a sleek, professional stand that reflected the brand’s premium engineering and reliability, while also offering an approachable space for networking and meaningful conversations. It’s proof that whether it’s consumer-facing activations like Beauty Playground or industry-specific conferences like SABOA, the principles of creative design and experiential detail apply across the board.
What sets our exhibition stand design apart is our belief that no two brands should ever look the same. Every stand we create is tailored whether that means bold visual storytelling, interactive digital displays, or small creative details that make people stop and engage. For E45, Gynaguard, and Volvo Buses, it wasn’t just about standing out visually - it was about giving visitors something to experience. And when people experience your brand, they remember it.
